Who am I?
Originally from the Basque Country, I grew up between the sea and the mountains. I first turned towards
board sports like surfing and stand up paddle which I practiced competitively
for about ten years.
Running was just a way to keep fit.
During my last years of STAPS studies I became more and more interested in running, trail running and different training methods. I gradually left the waves to spend more and more time in the mountains on trails in the summer and on downhill or cross-country skiing in the
winter.
The various trips I have been able to make thanks to surfing competitions have allowed me to
running to the 4 corners of the world (Canary Islands, Guadeloupe, New Zealand, etc.). Today, I
spends most of my free time hiking the Basque and Pyrenean peaks. This
passion for mountain sports and particularly trail running allows me to develop in
a natural environment combining exploration, self-improvement and physical effort.
Today, I want to share this with the athletes of Expert Sport Coaching while giving them
enabling them to perform by achieving their objectives.
Coaching:
The practice of trail running and running requires a great deal of capacity
adaptation. As part of my coaching, I constantly adapt to the abilities and
to the athlete's feelings. The experience of the coach and the athlete must allow
build individualized training programs that meet everyone's expectations.
Communication between the coach and the athlete then becomes essential to enable
to achieve the set objectives.
My different experiences as a competitor, STAPS student in Physical Activity
Adapted and Physical/Mental preparation allowed me to acquire skills and
training techniques adapted to experienced or beginner runners.
Coaching must ultimately allow the athlete to progress by interacting with his
coach to build a program adapted to his abilities but above all by taking
pleasure to practice.
